In 2022, Mama Magnolia celebrated the release of Dear Irvington, their crowdfunded full-length album produced by Robert Ellis and Josh Block. Thomas also released an EP of original music titled Yellow Home in 2020, accompanied by a series of in-studio videos from the recording session. He is also featured on Carrie Jennings’s 2023 debut EP, Good Tension.

As an educator, Thomas is known for his compassionate and project-based teaching style. He has over a decade of experience teaching music and helps students use technology to enhance their learning. Thomas has worked with students of all levels in countless group classes, workshops, and private lessons both in-person and online. He is the co-creator of 'Progressions,' a 16-week online program for guitarists developed in partnership with Colorado non-profit Swallow Hill Music Association. Thomas is experienced coaching student ensembles in various musical styles and has successfully prepared students for auditions at arts high schools and college music programs. Thomas's virtual lesson studio, established during the pandemic, continues to thrive, providing students with a rewarding digital education in all things guitar.

Originally from Ipswich, MA, Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar performance from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music in 2014. Since then, he has been living and working as a full-time musician and recently moved to Seattle to further develop his artistry and teaching practice. Thomas spends his off-time watching old movies, riding his bicycle, and drinking great coffee.
